CASTLE:
FEDERAL AID COMING TO DELAWARE
Congressman Michael N. Castle announced today
that the state of Delaware will receive approximately $78.21 million
in direct federal aid as part of the economic growth package passed
last week by Congress and signed into law by President Bush.
Congressman Castle said, "The legislation
passed by Congress recognizes that there are substantial needs in
our nation and in our states. The bill provides Delaware with
important financial assistance that will support programs to help
individuals in need."
Delaware will receive an estimated $28.21
million in reimbursements for Medicaid costs, and about $50 million
in federal grants to help fund essential government services.
"The economic growth package will provide a
significant reimbursement to assist with growing Medicare costs in
Delaware," said Congressman Castle. "The direct federal aid will
assist Delaware in meeting current and future budget challenges."
