STATE GOP:
LEADERS AT NATIONAL SESSION IN NEW YORK
New York -- Delaware’s Republican
Party leadership plays an active role in planning the 2004
Republican National Convention.
State Chairman Terry A. Strine,
National Committeeman W. Laird Stabler Jr., National Committeewoman
Priscilla B. Rakestraw and Executive Director Troy A. Brocco
participated in the Republican National Committee's Summer Meeting,
July 23 through 26 in New York City.
“Victory in 2004 begins here in New
York City!” Rakestraw said.
Rakestraw is a member of the
Arrangements Committee for the 2004 Republican National Convention
in Madison Square Garden from August 30 through September 2. The
Arrangements Committee is responsible for designing and presenting
all facets of the Republican National Convention.
“We’re confident the convention
will be one of the most successful in our party’s history,”
Rakestraw said. “This will launch President Bush’s successful
campaign for a second term as our nation’s leader. This President
has a special relationship with New York City and we salute the
strength and determination of the citizens of this exciting and
diverse city.”
Rakestraw and Strine were given an
escorted tour of Madison Square Garden Friday.
“I cannot wait to see Madison
Square Garden filled to capacity with Republicans ready to support
our President,” Strine said. “I’m especially excited about the role
the First State will be playing in re-electing our great leader.”
