STATE GOP:
NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
WILMINGTON -- The Republican
Party of Delaware welcomes its new Executive Director, Troy Brocco,
today.
Mr. Brocco worked with the
Delaware GOP as Legislative Director from August to November, 2002,
in implementing the party’s “Get-Out-The-Vote” effort. He is
credited with playing a key role in the numerous Republican
victories in the General Assembly races of 2002.
“Troy’s organizational
skills and motivation helped us retain every Republican incumbent
and pick up three additional seats in the House,” said GOP Chairman
Everett Moore. “It’s obvious he will help us to build on those
successes and make this an even stronger party.”
Chairman Moore said Mr.
Brocco also brings a wealth of experience in community outreach and
stellar interpersonal skills.
Prior to his work in
Delaware, Mr. Brocco worked as Deputy Director of Field Operations
for the New Jersey Republican State Committee, Field Director for
the John Matheussen for U.S. Senate primary, Legislative Aid to
Assemblyman Sam Thompson and Executive Director for Camden and
Gloucester Counties.
Mr. Brocco said he is
excited about working in the First State.
“Working in New Jersey was a
great political training ground,” Mr. Brocco said. “But when I came
to Delaware last summer, I connected with so many people and felt so
welcomed that I knew this is where I wanted to continue my career.”
As Executive Director, Mr.
Brocco is responsible for the day-to-day operations at Republican
State Headquarters.
