The presidential campaigns for Wesley K. Clark
and Joseph I. Lieberman both showed up Monday evening for the
Democratic Women's Club of Delaware, Clark's with an RV and
Lieberman's with the candidate's wife. Only in Delaware would it be
so polite that nothing but a Clark bar came between them.

BRANDYWINE GETS HUNDREDS
AT REPUBLICAN MEETING

People in politics like elections so much they
will come out to vote even when it does not count. The Brandywine
Hundred Republicans got about 300 people to attend a fund-raiser by
holding a straw poll for governor, lieutenant governor, New Castle
County executive and County Council president.

circuitous route to get from the bench to his second try for the
governorship, and he did it again today, declaring his candidacy in
a loop from Kent County to New Castle County to Sussex County. "My

teacher, was in Delaware on Monday for a political version of the
three Rs -- reading to students, raising campaign contributions and
replying to reporters at a press conference. Her trip combined White
House policy and Bush-Cheney '04 politics.

his day. The Rev. Alfred C. "Al" Sharpton looked for votes among the

WIVES

First lady Laura W. Bush will be in Delaware
on Monday, making the state a prime stop for the wives of
presidential candidates. Hadassah Lieberman and Teresa Heinz Kerry
visited earlier this week on the Democratic side. Bush will be
reading to students and raising some money on the Republican side.

applause Tuesday night was walk upright into the Democratic Party's
Jefferson-Jackson Dinner eight days after her knee replacement
surgery. She did -- upstaging the presence of Hadassah Lieberman and
the absence of the two senators, stuck in Washington.

Rendina disclosed at a press conference last week they secretly had
taped their bosses at New Castle County for a federal investigation,
