Matthew Denn, Democratic candidate for Delaware Insurance Commissioner, announced today the formation of “Women for Denn,” a statewide organization of women supporting his candidacy.

Denn said that the creation of Women for Denn, which includes women from every single one of the 41 Representative Districts in the state, demonstrates that his campaign is addressing issues important to women throughout the state.  “Delaware women understand that Delawareans need an Insurance Commissioner who will stand up for them when they are dealing with the insurance industry,” Denn said.  “That is why women from literally every district in this state have stepped forward to support my campaign.”

The New Castle County chairs of Women for Denn are Senator Margaret Rose Henry and Toni Young.  The other members are Lisa Blunt Bradley (1^st RD), Representative Hazel Plant (2^nd RD), Brenda Phillips (3^rd RD), Marybeth Farrell (4^th RD), Representative Melanie George (5^th RD), Kathy Jamison (6^th RD), Barbara Keil (7^th RD), Representative Bethany Hall-Long (8^th RD), Diane Messick (9^th RD), Joan Wachstein (10^th RD), Catherine Hodder (11^th RD), Betsy Maron (12^th RD), Senator Patricia Blevins (13^th RD), Carol Miller (15^th RD), Sandra Ballard (16^th RD), Ellen C. Peden (17^th RD), Beverly Parnell (18^th RD), Suzanne Hussey (19^th RD), Sandy Johnson (20^th RD), Patty Howard (21^st RD), Lynne Phifer (22^nd RD), Leslie Goldstein (23^rd RD), Shaku Bhaya (24^th RD), Helen Foster Parson (25^th RD), Andrea Viola (26^th RD), and Mary Catherine Landis (27^th RD).

The Kent County chairs of Women for Denn are Dawn Hill and Karen Valentine.  The other members are Grace Ennis (28^th RD), Senator Nancy Cook (29^th RD), Abby Betts (30^th RD), Holly Malone (31^st RD), Sarah Patterson (32^nd RD), Darlene Cox (33^rd RD), and Mary Sherlock (34^th RD).

The Sussex County chairs of Women for Denn are Pat Ewing and Pat Farley.  The other members are Fay Jacobs (14^th RD), Petie Adams (35^th RD), Kathi Karsnitz (36^th RD), Grace Lowe (37^th RD), Donna Bunting (38^th RD), Trina Wheedleton (39^th RD), Jean Henry and Juanita Stone (40^th RD), and Thelma Monroe (41^st RD).
